Sampling & Development FAQs

Can we start without a tech pack?

Yes. We can work from a sketch, reference garment or product idea. We will help confirm the required details and next steps, which may affect timing and scope.

Can you use a reference garment?

Yes. A reference garment can help communicate fit, construction and material preferences. Please include notes explaining which details to keep or change.

Do you offer pattern making and grading?

Pattern making and size grading can be included in the agreed development scope. We confirm the base size, required size range and deliverables before starting.

Which sample should I request first?

The starting stage depends on your available information and what needs to be checked. We review your project first and recommend a development sample, fit sample or another suitable stage.

How are revisions charged?

Included revisions and any additional fees are confirmed in the quotation. New design changes, materials or requests outside the agreed scope may require a revised quote.

Will final materials be used?

This depends on the sample stage and material availability. Any substitute materials are identified for review. Final production materials should be confirmed during pre-production approval.

Can I review fit before bulk production?

Yes. Fit samples allow you to review measurements, proportions and movement before bulk production. Feedback and agreed changes are recorded for the next sample stage.

What affects sample cost and timing?

Design complexity, material sourcing, special techniques, sample quantities and revision rounds can affect cost and timing. The schedule is confirmed after reviewing your requirements and required inputs.

Who owns the development files?

Ownership, file delivery and transfer conditions are defined in the agreed project terms. Please confirm any requirements for editable patterns or technical files before development starts.

Can I order development without bulk production?

Standalone development can be discussed based on your project. The scope, fees, deliverables and any file transfer requirements must be agreed in advance.

What if approved specifications change?

We review the requested changes and confirm any impact on cost, materials and timing. A revised sample or updated approval may be needed before production proceeds.
